RE-SOUND pairs three paintings by Akasaka with three sound works made in dialogue with them. The collaboration revisits material from RE-DITUS through solo voice and saxophone. Each painting has its own headphone listening point, giving the visitor time to look and listen together.
SOUND AND PAINTING
The works grew from shared attentive looking, listening and contemplative practice during our collaboration at AARK. Here, the RE series takes the form of encounters with individual paintings. The sound composition responds to the image, and listening gives looking a duration.
