RE-DITUS is a site responsive choral work made with Anna Voutilainen-Veijonen and the Sawotta Choir. The same recorded voices entered two different places: the old ironworks in Möhkö and the open pavilion at Halkosaari.
At Möhkö, loudspeakers sat within the architecture and landscape. Sustained and whispered voices met the river, forest and industrial remains. Visitors moved through the site, finding different relations between a single voice and the choir.
THE SECOND SITE
At Halkosaari Pavilion, the material drew closer together. Four part choral structures became clearer against the lake, air and wooden structure. The change of place altered the work without asking the choir to sing again.
