Meeting Point brings together generative image, sound, ink drawings and live performance. Jaakko Autio and Akasaka approach a shared question through different materials: how can the attention involved in making and encountering art become perceptible?
The artists at work
This video presents our working practices and the exhibition at Yö Galleria. It offers a way into the collaboration through the people, processes and works that formed the shared space.
A shared field of attention
Autio’s Nature Within uses EEG measurements as material for generative image and sound. Live performance and audience participation bring the process into the exhibition. Akasaka’s ink drawings and video work Living the Question approach perception through the act of looking and the unfolding artistic process.
The works meet in a space where making, observing and participating affect one another. The collaboration continues in RE-SOUND, where choral voices are encountered alongside Akasaka’s paintings.
