REVOLUTION BY WALKING

The site-specific Sati Dérive AudioWalk is a joint work of screenwriter-director Johanna Matruka and sound artist Jaakko Autio. Sati Dérive is based on both the psycho-geographical wonder method of the International Situationalist Movement (dérive) and the Buddhist concept of Sati. The listening mix combines the classic European avant-garde tradition with oriental spiritual practice. The Ambitious goal on Johanna and Jaakko is for Sati Dérive to take every experiencer on a unique journey from which there is no return, even if the work ends and everyday life returns.

Each listener decides the duration of the work. Starting from Mad House in Helsinki, Teurastamo area on June 12, 2021. The work can be viewed from 12 June to 31 August 2021. A co-production of Matrukan Oy and Mad House Helsinki.
